Studying Vietnamese Online

Learning Vietnamese Online is dedicated to helping you learn and improve your Vietnamese language skills.  This site provides all of the resources necessary to quickly learn and develop skills for learning how to communicate effectively in Vietnamese.

Learning Vietnamese is no easy task but it is made easier and more enjoyable with use of our forum and community of other Vietnamese language learners. The key to learning a language and being able to communicate effectively is being able to practice using the language with other people, the more you practice learning Vietnamese the better you be at communicating in Vietnamese.

Our video lessons are designed to expose Vietnamese language learners to as much real world spoken Vietnamese as possible. The pronunciation videos give you plenty of chance to copy the correct pronunciation which is a necessary step in mastering spoken Vietnamese. The vocabulary lessons also give some extra pronunciation practice while at the same time introducing some new and useful words.

Often the biggest factor in a person’s ability to learn a language is motivation. Without valid reasons for learning Vietnamese you may find that you lack the necessary desire to study. To become skilled at any activity requires that you put in ample time and effort to study and practice. All good language learners commit to spending time each day improving the skills necessary for proficient language acquisition.

Connected to your reasons for learning a language should be the goals that you have for yourself. Set a target and don’t stop learning and studying until you have reached that goal, then set more language learning goals. Be ambitious but realistic about how much you can learn in any specific amount of time. I am amazed at how often I get requests from people wanting private lessons 3 weeks before they are due to go to an English speaking country for several months in order to work.

Becoming conversational in Vietnamese (or any other language) will take a considerable amount of time, how long depends on how much you study and how well you study.
